If you guys are craving for some Filipino food, there is only one spot on North Carolina to go to. It's right here in Raleigh, North Cackalacky. Total bill was $86 plus 10% tips. I paid $98 for all of these Filipino food. Lechon kawali and dinuguan is my favorite. We ate like there's no tomorrow and manage to still have lots of leftovers. I mean, leftovers for dinner, lunch and snack for tomorrow. Service is kinda slow but you know what it's all worth the wait. Ambiance is like you are in Aunties turo turo in heart of MANILA. I highly suggest to try them out. The Lechon Kawali is number 1 on my books!

I've been looking for a place to purchase ginger root on a regular basis. I've tried several other ethnic markets around Raleigh as well as traditional grocery stores, but this is the only store where I can purchase it and the quality is consistently good. No mildew or dried up roots, just fresh tubers time after time. It's a bit of a drive for me, but for the quality it's worth it. The price is more than reasonable too, usually cheaper there than at the other grocery stores. The people working there are nice and are willing to talk to you if you are friendly and just say hello. I have not tried the restaurant yet, but I'm looking forward to doing so soon. They have a large selection of Asian food and condiments. If you cannot find something around town, they may have it there.

***During COVID-19 Visit*** First time visitor last week and I really like the place. Aunty who runs it is very friendly and willing to help. They've got a ton of things you could possibly want such as frozen food, snacks, drinks, souvenirs, pastries, etc. Whenever I'm in an oriental market, I'm always looking for Knorr seasoning soy sauce. Lo and behold, they've got it here which isn't surprising. The Filipino Express restaurant is located inside so make sure you give them a try as well. The next time I'm back in Raleigh, I'll definitely be back to check this place out again. Try to come on the weekdays as weekends they obviously get packed. Parking can be tight so be prepared. Thank you again!

Good little Asian market with lots of Filipino products. Plus a Filipino Turo-Turo restaurant. Filipino Turo-Turo is cafeteria style service where you point and pick your food plus some menu item made to order as well. Very good Filipino food in RDU area.

Ok. I am Filipino-American from San Diego. I say this because San Diego, because of the Navy specifically, has a large Filipino presence. The jokes about the Filipino mom or aunt being a RN and dad either being in the Navy or a mailman are true in my experience. Whatever. This is just my background. All of this being said, people's comments below are...kinda funny to me. Like, China is not the Philippines. Lo mein is not pancit. Fried egg rolls are not lumpia. I don't know, just tempering expectations because just different influences of the same food type are not the same food. Think In N Out vs Jack In the Box. Or for Southerners, Cookout vs McDonalds--they're the same but different. That being said, this place is pretty good. Not amazing. It never will be, only personally, because it is not my Filipino aunties berating me to eat more and all. Do I get my Filipino food fix? Sure! Absolutely! Grocery-wise, it's kinda fair, which is somewhat the standard. For those of you that know, it's not going to be Seafood City, which is like the Filipino version of the Korean H Mart. Still, do yourself and please try this place out! Supporting business that support people's heritages through food like this are amazing. Just go in with a more open mind and not perceived notions of what oriental markets are. If you want to talk amazing San Diego food, however, Los Cuates down the street is my jam for San Diego-style Mexican!

All the Filipino food that the little restaurant has brings me back to my childhood. It's WONDERFUL to have adobo, lumpia, halo-halo, Manila bay bbq, and Banana lumpia. Of course, there's so much more. There's fried peanuts with garlic that I used to get at the side vendors. Ube and magnolia ube ice cream!! It's heaven in Raleigh.

Yay! I finally found a store near my house that sells all of my Filipino dish ingredients. This store is right off of Capital 1 but it's hard to find if you are not looking for it. I love that they have Filipino food take out! They have seating there too, so if can't wait to eat your halo halo on a hot day, you have someplace to sit and enjoy your food. There is an aisle for Filipino (obviously) and Thai, and African food. They have some Chinese and Japanese food too. I was surprised, though, that they didn't carry some of the more popular Japanese brands (like Kani Chahun). However, this is not enough for me to downgrade it to 4 stars. It was clean, the store owner was able to direct me to what I wanted to buy, they serve fresh Filipino food, and they had all the stuff I want in my homemade halo halo. I'm a happy girl and I will be going here again!
